House demolition in Bastrop County
We tear down old houses across Bastrop County, including pier-and-beam farmhouses, slab ranch houses, and houses damaged by fire or storms. We haul off the debris and leave your lot ready to sell, build on, or leave open.
What a teardown includes
We bring the house down with an excavator, then pull metal like tin roofing, wiring, appliances, and ductwork and set it aside for scrap. We load and haul everything else. If you want the lot clear, we pull the piers or break out the slab. We leave the slab if you plan to build on it.
Tell us at the walkthrough about everything else on the lot. A garage, sheds, old fences, a driveway, and a pool can go the same visit, including work like shed and barn removal and concrete removal. Trees and fences you’re keeping get marked before we start.
What to sort out first
You call the electric and gas companies to shut off service, and water and sewer get capped before we start. The City of Bastrop requires a demolition permit inside Bastrop city limits, and we’ll walk you through the city’s checklist. The cities of Elgin and Smithville have their own permits.
We call in the 811 utility locate before we dig. Under Texas state health department rules, a single house coming down by itself doesn’t need an asbestos survey, and a survey is required if other buildings on the lot are coming down too.
Clearing the lot afterward
If you want the slab or piers out, we remove them, fill the holes and low spots, and grade the ground. Around the house pad, we clear brush, small trees, old fencing, and trash piles, while the big trees you’re keeping stay. If there’s an old septic tank, a registered hauler pumps it, then we backfill it.
What house demolition costs
